All Ability Levels Welcome 

Our program is fun for young athletes or Nordic skiers ages 10-13 years. A great program to set the foundation for a lifelong love of an active life.

All ability levels are welcome. Athletes can join anytime it is convenient for school and life schedules. 

This program includes three structured workouts each week with the MEA team. Training, appropriate to seasonal conditions, will consist of skiing, hiking, ski walking, trail running, mountain biking, track workouts, games, and optional roller skiing.

*U14 Athletes have the option to start light strength training twice a week depending on their development. Opportunities to register for camps and race trips are available.  

Montana Endurance Academy carefully plans (with safety in mind) activities with balanced intensity and volume, while providing individual attention to each athlete and their athletic development in a supportive team atmosphere.  

Training Details:

  • Structured training program developed by coaches educated in Exercise Physiology and Sports Science 

  • Instructors with longtime national and international youth coaching experience 

  • Training plan to help you achieve your personal goals 

  • Technique coaching and video analysis 

  • Meetings with coaches to discuss training and personal goals (one for summer, three for year-round) 

  • Winter ski races, both local and in the Intermountain Nordic Division (optional) 

  • Training locations in Bozeman 

  • Optional U14 strength training 2x week - *requires athlete to sign up at PLANET FITNESS ($49 year membership fee +$10/month)

  • Summer and fall training consist of hiking, ski walking, trail running, mountain biking, track workouts, games, and optional roller skiing. All activities are designed to build physical fitness in a fun and supportive team atmosphere.

    Nordic skiing starts when the snow flies, some years as early as November, and continues through the winter. Ski instruction, racing technique, distance and interval ski training are often incorporated into enjoyable games.

    Develop lifelong friends and teammates through this exciting, year-round program. The program takes a three week break from Aug 15th – Sept 4th.

    Locations include local Bozeman parks and trailheads.

    During ski season, ski instruction, racing technique, distance and interval ski training are often incorporated into fun games. Instruction includes classic and skate ski techniques.

    Develop lifelong friends and teammates through this enjoyable, ski specific program.

    Team support including coaching and race waxing will be provided for both local fun races and Intermountain Division qualifiers (optional).
